I am formulation a outing with friends to Cozumel for Nov 08. The complaint is we can’t entirely prepay the moody and review all at once. Ideally we’d similar to to book flights as shortly as probable to get the most appropriate rate and haven the road house with a deposition usually and compensate onsite. It seems each all thorough I’ve found requires full prepayment. Does any one know of any good resorts which usually need a deposit?

If you can go to a travel agency thats the way to go. I’m a travel agent myself, and of coarse this question comes up alot. Here’s the quick answer..it all depends on several different factors. Now here’s the long reasoning behind that answer–Since your going in Nov of this year, normally you would just have some sort of deposit. Whether it be just a deposit for the resort, or also a deposit for the airlines. Sometimes airlines require payment in full at the time of booking, it just depends. Your travel agent will know if that’s the case when they get the rates for you. I saw another answer on here that said 45 days prior to departure you need to get in your final payment, which is true for MOST places, but EVERY PLACE IS DIFFERENT. Some are 30 days prior, some are 60 days prior. It just depends are the resorts requirement. You’ll have to check that out ahead of time if you plan on doing it on your own, and I would recommend you try to get it in ASAP. But check your local agencies normally they don’t charge any fees for their services, because they are given commission from the resort for being loyal to that company, etc. So check them out! Hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your vacation!!

Yes, call a local travel agent, they will put together your package and tell you when you need to pay the deposit, then 45 days before you travel you will make your final payment.

if you book through funjet, apple or through a travel agent, usually you can put down a deposit and then pay in full a month proior to departure.

I just got back from Cozumel a couple of days ago. Our trip cost about 800 per person for the airfare from pittsburgh and a week at the fiesta americana resort. You can order the all-inclusive option once you get there per day, it’s about $70 per person per day, but I suggest doing only a few days of all inclusive at the resort and renting a car and doing some exploring. There are so many great restaurants that aren’t too pricey and you will have a much more memorable experience. My theory is, why go to mexico if you just want to stay in an all-inclusive resort the whole time?…there are all-inclusive resorts in the U.S. that are closer and you wouldn’t have to spend as much money.
